Christmas

It seemed like the holidays began when Kimberly returned from BYU and Katie finished her finals.

For Courtney, Christmas began when she got to go make gingerbread houses at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She loved it!

We had a fun Christmas Eve at our home.
We had a yummy dinner and Grandma and Grandpa conducted the program.

There were musical numbers, scriptures, singing, and a fun nativity. Grandpa was the donkey!!

All the cousins had fun with the gift exchange and everyone was a good sport!

The next morning we had our traditional Christmas morning breakfast and the opening of gifts.

Kimberly bought ET and Matthew BYU shirts -- they had fun playing football and we all enjoyed the beautiful Arizona weather.

We are grateful for the time we were able to spend together as a family and grateful for the opportunity we had to reflect on the birth and life of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Science Camp - Dec. 2-4

Matthew had a great time at Science Camp -- but we missed him. Here are a few pictures from his adventures at Lake Pleasant.

Matthew was worried about what they would eat but he said the food was yummy!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was great to have Kimberly home!
She ran the Turkey Trot with Clark and Tia in the morning and had fun seeing family and friends at the event.

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner with the Glenn Family.

Joey loved the chocolate pie!

We hiked the Peralta Trail on Friday and ET hoped that the photo we took there would suffice for a family Christmas picture.

The girls talked him into another, so we snapped a quick one in the back yard -- we are not sure it's much better, but we are quite sure we won't take another one.

Happy Thanksgiving!

October Break - Part 2

Katie got her driving permit -- passing the test on her first try!

and sweet little Joey Glenn broke his leg at our house while his family was in Peru! We feel horrible!
He is on the mend now! We are so grateful!

Disney Land

We spent a fun few days in Disney Land with family and friends.

This was the first picture we took as we walked in the park. After this, we hardly saw the children. They were all off with their friends and we were lucky if we hooked up with them for lunch or a ride.

Here are some of them at Fantasy Land.

ET went on CA Screamin a couple of times with Courtney, but paid the price afterwards. This is where we found him trying to recover! We are getting old.

BYU Blues

Matthew & ET spent the weekend in Provo.

The BYU football game wasn't exactly what they hoped for,

but spending time with Kimberly and the Estes and Snow families made the whole trip worth it. The boys had a great time ... now the girls are ready for their turn.

Another Swimmer in the Family

Katie surprised us by going out for the Mountain View Swim Team. She swam Club in the summer every morning at 5:30am and continues to put in the long hours after school.

Her hard work has paid off. She did great in the meet yesterday. It was fun to watch her. I don't think I've watched Katie race since she was about 8 years old!

Transition Time

This has been a week of transition for our family. ET was released as the Bishop of our ward on Sunday, August 23, 2009 after 5 years of faithful, diligent service. As we look back on the last five years we realize how much our family has grown up. Courtney was 1 yr old and Kimberly was 12 yrs. Courtney is now in 2nd grade, Matthew in 5th, Carie in Jr. High, Katie in High School, and Kimberly is 18 and off to college!

We took this self-timed photo after church to document the moment. It may be our last family photo for a while!

On Tuesday we left to take Kimberly up to BYU!

This is her dorm room and ...

This is her fun roommate -- Ashlyn! I think she will have lots of fun, but we will really miss her!

Bishop's Night

It was great to see our campers on Monday night!

Carie and Katie both had a great time. Carie's favorite activity was canoeing.

Katie had lots of fun with her friends. Don't they look lovely?!?

The theme this year was "IN TUNE." Each ward represented a musical. Evergreen's was "Mulan." This is ET during the cheer portion of the evening with our cute young women!

FAMILY Vacation

We spent our summer vacation in Provo this year with FAMILY!

We had a nice lunch with Grandma Geri in Salt Lake.

We met our two newest cousins.......Charlie Groberg and

Breeyana Odida at Cami's 3rd birthday celebration

and spent time with the Grobergs and Odidas in Salt Lake.

Katie and Carie had fun riding bikes with Abby and Lydia to lunch and shopping in downtown Provo.

We were able to attend Eliza's baptism and then see

Natalie's relay team win 1st place in the Jr. Olympics Western Region. Thanks to Emily's recommendation and directions we climbed the mountains you see behind the cousins and had an amazing view of the Wasatch Front. We also enjoyed yummy family dinners, Seven Peaks, Veteran's Pool, Park City, Oquirrh Mountain Temple, and way too much icecream during the week!

We are so grateful for our WONDERFUL FAMILY!
