After having our neighbor power-wash the awnings this Saturday, ET took on the pigeons who think our roof is a bird sanctuary. He lined the tiles with little stakes to keep the birds away from the clean awnings. We'll see how it works. There is still a mother bird on a big nest in one of the eaves, and this morning there were birds lined on either side of the stakes!
