Aspen Grove

We spent a wonderful week at Aspen Grove with the Clark Family. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was magnificent! We enjoyed all the fun activities together.

The Grobergs came down for hike day and 5 of us attempted to hike to Emerald Lake. We knew that Timpanogus was still not open, but we thought we'd go as far as we could.

After loosing our footing and sliding down the second glacier, we decided to head back and enjoy the scenery and then take a quick hike over to Stewart Falls.


We all had so much fun! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful family vacation!

Summer Swim

It's hard to imagine summer without swim team. It's great exercise and keeps our family on some sort of schedule during the summer months. Matthew and Courtney swam in the freestyle meet tonight and did great!

La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club

We spent a fun 3 days at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. We stayed right on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, walking along the beach and the cliffs, eating at yummy restaurants per David's reccomendations, playing tennis, going to the San Diego Temple, and just relaxing on the beach.



It was the perfect time to go as most of the year end activities were over. Carie and Courtney finished tumbling and did a great job at their recital.



Matthew finished his basketball season so we didn't miss any games. The only thing we did miss was Matthew's speach for Highland Student Body President. Kimberly went for support and taped it for us. He won, so now we have a president (Matthew), two vice presidents (Katie and Carie), and a publicity chair (Kimberly - BYU NSHLA Club)in the family. I told ET maybe it was time for him to get involved in politics.

Happy Birthday ET!

ET turned 44 on Saturday! He celebrated his birthday weekend with the traditional Fathers and Sons campout which always seems to fall on his birthday! He and Matthew pitched a tent and Matthew helped with breakfast for the ward. That afternoon we watched Matthew, Bennett, and Clark play in their final basketball game of the season and then went to dinner that night and watched a movie.

National Honor Society

Katie was inducted into the National Honor Society on Tuesday evening (along with Haley and Cassidy and a lot of other fun friends). The program was perfect: inspirational and short -- only about 20 minutes!

Happy Birthday Katie -- 16 years old!

Katie turned 16 on Sunday. The cute YW in our ward wrapped the front door to wish her a Happy Birthday!



The day was extra special because Katie received her patriarchal blessing from her grandfather that morning.



In the evening, she celebrated with lots of family and friends (and cheesecake)!

Tennis Tournament

Matthew played in his first NET Tournament today and took 2nd place. It was fun to watch him play!
